Winners with Remploy
Remploy - the organisation that helps disabled people into work - recently named Allied Vehicles as the 'Remploy Interwork Regional Winner - Large Business Employer', in their Leading the Way Awards.
Allied Vehicles, the UK's leading supplier of wheelchair accessible vehicles, were delighted to accept the prestigious award. Allied Vehicles were recognised for enabling and encouraging disabled people to realise their potential through work.
Remploy's Leading the Way Awards commend those employers who are setting an example in the employment of disabled people. They also reflect the government commitment to promoting equal rights for disabled people in society through employment.
Cameron Scott from the Allied Vehicles' Human Resources department commented: "We're delighted to have received this important recognition of our efforts.
"The competition was particularly stiff, up against other larger organisations such as Strathclyde Police, BT Manpower, Morrisons and beCogent, so we were surprised and delighted to have done so well."
